The German section offers language, literature and culture courses for undergraduate students of all levels as well as professional development courses for teachers of German.  In addition to interactive language instruction and broadly diverse upper-level seminars, the faculty promotes interdisciplinarity through programs such as the Foreign Language major-Business minor and the German Studies minor.  Students are encouraged to participate in study abroad opportunities in Austria and Germany.
