Upcoming Guest Lectures
The economics department is excited to announce two upcoming guest lecturers:
Zdravka Todorova, UMKC Economic Department alumni and Wright State
professor will give a talk entitled "57 Varieties of Feminism"

Frank Veneroso will be visiting UMKC on March 23-24 as the Department's
Bernardin Haskell Lecturer. Mr. Veneroso will deliver a public lecture
on Tuesday, March 23 at 7pm in Cockefair Hall 104:
"The Serial Bubble Era: The Final Chapter, Unfinished Business, and the End Game".
He will also give a seminar for students and faculty on Wednesday, March
24, time and place TBA:
"The Propagation of Bubbles, The Role of Adaptive Expectations, and
a Contribution from Minsky"
Mr. Veneroso is the founder of Veneroso Associates which provides global
investment strategy advice to money managers. Currently he acts as
market strategist for the Global Policy Committee of RCM, a global
equity management affiliate of the Allianz Group, as well as a strategy
advisor to the Finance Committee of the board of Allianz. Prior to then
his clients included the World Bank, the International Finance
Corporation, the U.S. State Department, and the Organization of American
States: during this time, he also advised the governments of Bahrain,
Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Korea, Mexico, Portugal, Thailand,
Venezuela, and the UAE. Frank graduated cum laude from Harvard
University.
