Graduate Teaching Assistantship (GTA)
Description

  • GTAs must be graduate degree-seeking students in our department.

  • GTAs usually teach 6 hours of classes, or perform some combination of
teaching and tutoring work for 20 hours/week during a semester.

  • A GTA must enroll in a minimum of 6 hours of mathematics or statistics courses
    for graduate credit each semester.

  • The department awards its graduate teaching assistantships on a competitive basis.

  • Assistantships pay a monthly stipend.

  • Assistantships pay in-state (resident) educational fees for the first 6 credit hours of the Fall and Winter semesters.

  • Non-resident fee status is waived for graduate assistants who are not Missouri residents.
