Top 10% of high school class OR ACT composite score of 23 or above. Full-time enrollment. Not available for medicine, dentistry, pharmacy or conservatory. Home-schooled and GED students may also qualify if a first-time college student.

Curator’s Scholar Award

● Award Amount: $3,500
● Qualifications: Incoming freshmen students from Missouri graduating from a Missouri high school. Top 5% high school class ranking AND ACT score of 28 or above. Full-time enrollment. Not available for medicine, conservatory or pharmacy (professional-level students)

Metro Kansas City, MO High School Award

● Award Amount: $1,000
● Qualifications: Incoming freshmen students who are graduates of one of the following high schools: Northeast, Southeast, East, Westport, Central, Paseo, Bishop Hogan, Alta Vista, Southwest, Lincoln College Prep, Imagine Renaissance Academy or University Academy. Full-time.

UMKC Undergraduate Award

    ● Qualifications: Incoming freshmen students graduating from a high school who are residents of Missouri or the Kansas counties of Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami or Wyandotte. Carol Koehler Memorial Scholarship

Department of Theatre scholarships are available to full-time students. The Department of Theatre has over 20 scholarships providing financial assistance to their students. All prospective UMKC students are automatically considered for all scholarships, awards, and fellowships during their MFA audition. All graduate and undergraduate level scholarships are chosen by the Theatre Department's Scholarship Committee at UMKC.

LGBTQIA

The LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and ally) Scholarship is designed to support students regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity and sex, who are enrolled in any degree program at UMKC, who maintain at least a cumulative 2.0 GPA and who demonstrate support of the LGBTQIA community, either on-campus or off-campus, through significant support, engagement, and/or volunteering. Students must submit an one page essay detailing their past and current support and/or involvement in the LGBTQIA community.
