The Bernard Osher Reentry Scholarship Program

The Bernard Osher Reentry Scholarship Program is designed to provide students– ideally aged 25 to 50 – who have experienced an interruption in their education of five years or more, who now want to resume their university studies at a four-year baccalaureate institution.

The program is not intended for transfer students or those seeking an additional degree. It targets students who did not have the opportunity to complete their higher education at earlier stages in their lives.

The Osher Reentry Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to a limited number of undergraduate students who demonstrate the potential for academic success.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Have experienced at least a five-year break in their education.

  • Demonstrate financial need (students must complete and file a FAFSA at the University of Missouri-Kansas City).

  • Illustrate potential for academic success, by maintaining above a 2.5 GPA in all college course work.
