Master of Arts in Art History

As a graduate program, we are dedicated to the M.A. degree and the development of our students as individuals. We stress small class size, frequent and close contact between faculty and students, and the support each student needs for reaching his or her goals.

We accept students on a rolling basis. Please apply by November 1, 2007 for Spring 2008 or by March 15, 2008 for Fall 2008. You may begin in either semester.

The application process has two parts.

There is an application form that may be filled out and filed online or requested and mailed to the Admissions Office, 120 Administrative Center, UMKC, 5100 Rockhill Road, Kansas City, MO 64110-2499 [(816-235-1111]. You may apply online http://www.umkc.edu/admissions/

Please have official copies of transcripts from all of your undergraduate and graduate institutions sent to the Admissions Office.

The GRE is not required.

In addition, please submit the following to the Graduate Adviser in Art History, 204 Fine Arts Building, UMKC, 5100 Rockhill Road, Kansas City, MO 64110-2499:
