Childhood games, seemingly innocuous and wholesome, bear meanings beyond the playground. In my sculptural series "Dangerous Games" the familiar activities become metaphors for the complex web of societal rules and expectations instilled in tender age and carried into adulthood. The imbedded dangers of misdirected personal pressures are explored in "Tetherball', which is not only dysfunctional, but also suggests the co-existence of the innocent and the disastrous in play.
