Undoubtedly hair is the most crucial part of a doll. It often provides the only soft element of the plaything, closely emulating its human counterpart. Playing with doll hair is sensuous and satisfying. In this photographic series the figure is only implied, not described, as the images become increasingly abstract. Intimate scenarios are visualized gently hinting at a suggestive narrative. Artificial doll hair and toy clothes, both semi-translucent, float and coalesce in a very private space.
