| The program has opened doors into new adventures and opportunities for me. My practicum in Managed Care/Long-Term Care Issues produced a position for me at Human Health Care. From Humana, I was called by the Alzheimer’s Association to become their Executive Director position. I served in that capacity for over two years. Now I serve the elderly at the Midwest Biomedical Research Foundation, coordinating an annual gerontology conference and assisting researchers in identifying funding for various diseases, i.e., Alzheimer’s disease, Strokes, ALS, Cancer, etc. I would highly recommend the Gerontology Certificate Program as it provides an extra edge in a competitive job market. | |
