IN OUR STUDENTS WORDS

Donna Foulk
My gerontology studies at UMKC have had an impact in both my everyday life and my future career. My gerontology background at UMKC has led me to pursue a masters degree in anthropology the University of Kentucky, where there are many instructors with an interest in aging. UMKC classes in aging have provided a solid base for my current studies and future research.  Through these classes, I have developed an understanding about social, psychological, and physical aging-related changes, as well as an appreciation for the positive aspects of aging. I continue to use this knowledge in my everyday interaction with elders as well as in my current anthropology classes and projects.
