| Bio: Janet Rose holds a Ph.D. in American Studies and is a brand and market strategy consultant to global brands, including fortune 100 companies and global advertising agencies including McCann-Erickson and Saatchi & Saatchi X. Rose's specialty is in the area of market insights and strategy, with an emphasis on brand strategy and the development of "Big Ideas" for advertising strategy and concepts. Rose also teaches in the American Studies department of UMKC where she teaches Cultural and Critical Theory. She writes about consumer culture, business history, American culture and art. She was recently chosen as the lead facilitator for the Center for women's Business Research in Washington, DC, for a national research on women of color entrepreneurship. She has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, CNN, and the local and regional publications regarding her work on American Culture. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas and additional executive education at the University of Chicago and Harvard Business School. |
