The undergraduate degree in economics is excellent preparation for the
study of law and for graduate study in economics and in business and public
administration. The wide range of career choices available to graduating
students in economics includes teaching, government service, finance, business,
banking, and insurance.
The bachelor of arts requires a minimum of 30 hours of courses in the department.
A minimum grade point average of 2.0 in the major is required for graduation.
In their last semester before graduation, seniors are required to take
an assessment-exit exam.
Students are required
to take a minimum of 30 hours including following required courses:
Undergraduate
Minor in Economics
The minor in economics is open to all students and consists of a minimum
of 18 hours in economics. The courses are Economics 201, 202, 301, 302,
and six hours in the 300- to 400-level courses as approved by the undergraduate
advisor.
