Statement

I am interested in the general condition of the state of mankind and the habitat in which we live. The social sciences provide an excellent platform for the investigation of the human condition. The integration of the disciplines of history, political science, sociology, psychology, and economics offers the interested scholar the opportunity to investigate a wide variety of problems. This approach is especially useful when analyzing the impact of humans on the environment, energy, and resources of the planet. The process of ongoing interaction of the social and natural sciences is of long-standing. Thomas Malthus inspired Charles Darwin who in turn revolutionized both the natural and social sciences. Today's problems of population pressure, environmental decay, and the threat of eventual resource depletion  present us with serious and fascinating challenges. Future directions in economic growth and distribution of income and wealth are of special importance. The discipline of economics has a central role to play in the problem solving that must be undertaken by concerned academics.
