The Center for Economic Information has completed research for the public and private sectors. We have public sector clients as small as a fire district, and as large as the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development. The research we do with and for the public sector will typically make use of our strengths in the use of geographic information systems, economic statistics, and econometrics. Our current major projects are the Kansas City Community Development Initiative project and the National Institutes of Health Environmental Factors Obesity Project Our major public sector projects in the past include GIS-based survey s of the housing conditions on over 100,000 parcels in several cities on both sides of the state line of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. Many of the results of those surveys are viewable on our Internet map server: CityScope. For examples of other work, see the web pages on Projects and Map Archive. |
