Volunteer Update

February 2007

Greetings, Bridging The Gap Volunteers!

Happy late winter to all of you!

I am writing this the week of the chemical plant explosion here in Kansas City, which, at least at this point, appears not to have created serious threats to the air we breathe or the water we drink. But what a reminder that event was to all of us about how important – and fragile – such basic resources as clean air and water are. We thank you for your ongoing efforts to be involved in protecting such resources through the volunteer work you do with us and the actions you take in your personal lives.

This is BTG’s February Volunteer Update, which offers news of upcoming volunteer opportunities. We’re heading into our busiest time of year for volunteer events, so we hope you will find an opportunity that fits your interests and schedule. As always, we have lots of information to share, so just skim the headings and read the items that interest you.
