The UMKC Colleges Against Cancer and the Pre-Med Society are co-hosting the American Cancer Society Research Lecture. Dr. R. Scott Hawley, author of over 140 articles and 6 books on genetics, chromosome biology and meiosis, is the invited speaker. Dr. Hawley was appointed as an American Cancer Society Research Professor in 2005 and re-appointed in 2010. Currently, Dr. Hawley is the Dean of the Graduate School of the Stowers Institute for Medical Research. As an expert in the field of cancer research, we are excited to have Dr. Hawley and hear about his research. This event is free and open the public.
