… 80 Years Later

Exhibit Sponsored by the Diastole Scholars’ Center.

Details: In 1937, Edgar Snow, Kansas City native, became the first Westerner to meet and interview Mao Tse-Tung and other Chinese Communist leaders. His book, “Red Star Over China,” was the first authorized account of Mao’s life and the Chinese Revolution. This exhibit explores Edgar Snow’s “scoop of the century” and it’s lasting impact on US-China relations 80 years later.
