Prof. Leimkuehler is a native of Lexington, Missouri.  Her family is of French/ Italian origin, including grandparents from Brittany, France and Brusnengo, Italy.  She resides in Lee’s Summit, MO with her husband Bill and two sons.  She is an avid tennis player,  loves music and attending K.C. Symphony concerts. She plays flute & guitar and loves to sing. She enjoys  traveling, hiking and camping in national parks.  She is an avid Mizzou Tiger football fan and a Marching Mizzou parent. She enjoys traveling to Quebec where Quebec City is one of her favorite places to explore. She recently had the opportunity to go on a whale watching excursion out of Tadussac, Quebec, where she was lucky to see several whales very close up and personal!
