Currently there are 10 stops on the virtual fieldtrip which are indicated by the red circles. There is no need to worry about traffic or the weather, just select one of the highlighted points to view the geologic formations found at that location. Locations that are not located in the area depicted by the map can be accessed below the map.
On the subsequent pages, accessed by selecting one of the highlighted points on this map, you will find images and diagrams depicting the composite stratigraphic column of that site. The different members and formations depicted on the column diagrams are linked to images of examples of that member where applicable. Further, a full screen view of any image can be seen by selecting the image.
Remember, the cursor arrow will turn into a pointing hand when the cursor is passed over an image or an area of the image that is active.
