The University of Missouri-Kansas City's Department of Psychology has been awarded a 1.5 million dollar grant funded by the National Institutes of Health to study health care provider communication regarding smoking. Project KC Quest, led by Dr. Delwyn Catley, Professor of Psychology, is a Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT) studying different types of communication with smokers. KC Quest is dedicated to learning from smokers who do not want to quit, or are not ready to quit, how health care providers should talk with them about their health.
