Teaching -- List of recent UMKC courses:

Ari taught mathematics through Statistics and Calculus II at Olathe South High School from 1990-2005, and has previously taught Statistics at Johnson County Community College. About teaching mathematics, he says "Instruction through discovery and analogy are my stock and trade. I start with the heart of a topic - what it means and where it comes from - then proceed to the 'how to' of it. If mathematics is meaningfully taught, learning is a natural consequence." Ari's father has a Ph.D. in mathematics and is a professor of Computer Science, so he grew up surrounded by mathematical thinking.

Ari was also a head tennis coach at Olathe South, and in addition, has a long resume as an actor in various films.
