Brian is enrolled as an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. student with coordinating discipline Mathematics. He previously taught Mathematics at Villanova University as a Teaching Assistant, and has experience with UNIX/LINUX, C++, and mathematics software such as Maple, Geometer's Sketchpad, and Fathom. He has also done substitute secondary teaching in ethnically diverse public school settings, and has a "passion" for teaching. He was recently a teacher at a private after school tutoring center.
Brian has a particularly strong interest in cross-cultural communication and education. He speaks fluent Spanish, and has traveled for study to Mexico several times and worked briefly on a service project in the Dominican Republic.
