Credit by Departmental Examination

Only the following courses are available for credit by a departmental examination which we administer:
To be eligible for credit by Departmental Examination you must:
- Not have audited, or attempted the course for credit in the last 3 semesters anywhere.
- Be enrolled as a degree-seeking student at UMKC in the same semester in which you wish to take the examination.
- Take the departmental examination by the end of that same semester.
- Earn at least a grade of C on the examination, as determined by the department.
Before taking a Departmental Examination, you must complete the following steps in the order given:
- First, print this Credit by Departmental Examination Form.
Follow the directions on this form, including the following:
- Second, get the Calculus Coordinator Dr. Voulov's Approval signature. (He is the "Instructor" indicated on the form.)
- Third, get your Dean's Approval signature.
- Fourth, get the Registrar's Approval signature on the form. [They check that you have met the conditions above for enrollment, and not auditing or attempting the course in the last 3 semesters.]
- Fifth, Pay the fees at the Cashier's Office at the Administrative Center, 5115 Oak St., for attempting credit by departmental exam (Payment equal to 1 credit hour.)
- Sixth, return the form to the Registrar's Office as indicated on the form itself.
- The Calculus Coordinator Dr. Voulov can tell you about the date and time we schedule such Departmental Examinations.
