How to Apply for
Interdisciplinary Ph.D. Admission

Graduate Admission (I Ph.D.)

  • The Fall and Summer semester primary application deadline is
    March 15
    (both International and Domestic).

  • The Spring semester primary application deadline is
    October 15
    (both International and Domestic).

  • Late applications will also be reviewed and admission decisions made before a given semester, as time permits.

  • There is a $35 (domestic), or $50 (international) application fee that cannot be waived or deferred.

  • For financial aid see Financial Assistance.

  • It takes approximately one to three months for a decision to be made on MS (or IPh.D.) applications.

  • See the School of Graduate Studies Graduate Program Admission Requirements under "Prospective Students".

  • You may apply directly to the Office of Admissions.


Applicants must at a minimum send:
  • Official transcripts.
  • One-page narrative statement outlining educational plans.
  • 3 letters of reference.
  • GRE scores (required).

  • International applicants must also send TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) scores.
