Middle School - Mathematics Concentration

- Teacher Education students must take the C-BASE (College Basic Academic Subjects Exam),
a criterion-referenced academic achievement examination, which evaluates knowledge and skills in
English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The [Missouri] State Board of Education established
cut-off scores of 235 or higher in each of the four subjects.

- Math 110 - College Algebra (3)

- Three units of high school mathematics (Algebra I and higher), OR
- Math 100 (Intermediate Algebra)
- Math 125 - Trigonometry (2)

- Two units of high school algebra, and one unit of geometry, OR
- Math 110 (College Algebra)
[NOTE: Math 120 below replaces Math 110 (College Algebra) + Math 125 (Trigonometry).]
- Math 120 - Precalculus (5) [Best preparation choice for Calculus.]
