Be $mart
Missouri Chapters are community school
partnerships in any community in the state of Missouri with
the express purpose of
offering a support program for the efforts of the teachers and students in
Personal
Finance classrooms. Some
characteristics of chapters include:
Participation initiated by the teacher and/or department in the school teaching the required Personal Finance course.
Participation initiated by interested community members to assist the school program.
Support of the administration and other staff within the school community that would enhance the outcome such as counselors, district coordinators, department chairs
Students in grades 10-12, including those attending public, private or vocational schools
Any activity/program that is deemed valuable educational experience for students beyond the regular classroom setting involving Personal Finance
Local advisory boards assist the BSM Chapter teacher or sponsor
Advisory boards consist of any person interested in the financial well-being of the students graduating from the given school or district from a variety of public and private businesses and organizations
