The mission of the Missouri Council on
Economic Education (MCEE) and it's network of university affiliated
centers are to promote and improve economic literacy for
educators and students. This increases their understanding of our
economic system and equips them to function as responsible citizens
who make informed personal and public policy decisions.
The Economics in Action! award is
presented to three Missouri teachers each year. The award began
in the fall of 1999 and has had three recipients thus far. This
award recognizes teachers for their outstanding ability to
integrate economics into their curriculum at a variety
of grade levels.
