The "Show-Me" Economics packets are a product of
the Missouri Council on Economic Education and the network of Missouri
University-Based Centers for Economic Education. There are three
different packets, one each for grade ranges, K-4, 5-8, and 9-12.
Workshops for "Show-Me" Economics workshops are
held on regular basis. School Districts wanting "Show-Me"
Economics workshops for in-service training may contact
us to see when this is available in your area.
Packets Contain (Note: Contents vary with each grade range)
- a basic overview of economic principles related to the DESE
Show-Me standards.
- a large set of sample lessons from a variety of sources.
- a list of publishers.
- annotated descriptions of economic education curricular
materials marked by grade level.
- a list of Internet resources for economic educators. (K-4 only)
- economic songs. (K-4 only)
- sample performance assessments. (5-8 only)
- a glossary of terms.
- a list of related children's literature. (K-4 only)
- a cross-tabulation of sample lessons.
