About Us Michael English Mike English is the President and CEO of the Missouri Council on Economic Education. English earned his undergraduate degree in Philosophy with a concentration in Politics and Economics from the University of Notre Dame. He earned his Masters Degree in Public Policy Studies from the University of Chicago, focusing his studies on public finance. While earning his degree he worked as a policy analyst for the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) and the City of Chicago Office of Budget and Management. English then served as the Executive Director for the Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project, where he also served on several community boards and committees while living in Pittsburgh. Most recently, English worked as a Senior Analyst at the Kauffman Foundation in Kansas City, working with schools and other education-related nonprofit organizations. English began his work with the Missouri Council on Economic Education in 2008.
