Missouri Council on Economic
Education
Integrating Middle School Economics and History
This website has been designed to help
both middle school social studies teachers and students teach and learn
American History and Economics. This is done by providing an organized,
meaningful way to engage urban students in learning activities that teach
state-mandated social studies and communication arts content and process
standards.
- Teachers
are invited to engage their students in suggested activities and webquests
requiring students to apply the economic concepts across the middle
school history curriculum throughout the year.
- Each thematic
unit consists of:
- suggested introductory classroom
activities,
- a
variety of performance-based webquests,
- and
a selected-response economic quiz.
Our hope is that you find the combination
of instructional/assessment tools useful in preparing your students for
the Missouri Social Studies and Communication Arts Assessments (MAP)
