A snap shot of a Monte Carlo simulation for four layers of Xe on graphite. The temperature of the system is 0.7 of the triple point temperature (T3) of bulk Xe.

A snapshot of a simulation for the same Xe/graphite multilayer at T = 0.8T3. The top layer is fluid and the other three are still solid.
