The Mission of the UMKC Department of Psychology is to: Enhance public health through rigorous training of students within an interdisciplinary framework (education mission) Provide an accessible resource for the integration of behavioral sciences and health research and healthcare (service mission) Develop knowledge and enhance health outcomes through empirical research (research and evaluation mission) Incorporate integrity and respect for human and intellectual diversity in all our activities (human mission) Become a valued partner in the KC Life Sciences Initiative
