STUDENTS - Stage Management

Jenniffer DeSimone is a 2nd-year MFA Stage Manager at UMKC. Most recently, Jenn worked at the New York Metropolitan Opera and New York Philharmonic as the Production Coordinator for their Park’s Tour. Other UMKC credits include The Cure at Troy, Quindaro, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Goodnight Children Everywhere, Noises Off, and Tartuffe.

Victoria C. Frank is a 2nd-year M.F.A. candidate at UMKC. She graduated magna cum laude from UMKC with a B.A. in Theatre in 2007. As a student at UMKC, Victoria has worked on Suor Angelia/Gianni Schicchi, Three Sisters and Pirates of Penzance, Tartuffe among others. Locally, Victoria has worked with Kansas City Repertory Theatre (Gee’s Bend, New Year’s Repartee, John Denver Holiday Concert, Guys and Dolls, A Christmas Carol), Unicorn Theatre (The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Crowns), and Lyric Opera (Aida, The Magic Flute). This summer she was an assistant stage manager at Des Moines Metro Opera (A Masked Ball, Regina, Elixir of Love).

Laura Krouch is a 2nd-year Stage Manager. Recently she served as the Assistant to the Stage Manager for New Theatre Restaurant’s production of All Shook Up, Production Assistant for To Kill a Mockingbird and Bad Dates for Kansas City Repertory Theatre, and Assistant Stage Manager for UMKC Theater’s productions of Goodnight Children Everywhere, The Cure at Troy, and Tartuffe  Laura is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Mathias Langford is a stage manager for City In Motion Dance Company in Kansas City and other local area credits include Singin’ in the Rain, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hello Dolly starring Michelle Lee, and Footloose at Kansas City Starlight Theatre. Working for the Coterie Theatre, (Time Magazine’s top five theatres for young audiences in the nation) his credits are In Spite of Thunder: The Macbeth Project, Sideway Stories From Wayside School, and Once On This Island. His Kansas City Repertory Theatre credits include Clay before it went on its Off Broadway Tour, Radio Golf, and A Christmas Carol.  Mathias has worked for Fox Television as a production assistant for American Idol,  as a production assistant at Unicorn Theatre for The Lieutenant of Inishmore, as assistant stage manager for Kansas City’s Ballet’s The Nutcracker, and at Union Station as an assistant stage manager for the world premiere of Quindaro, starring Bill Cobbs.  Mr. Langford has also been a production manager’s assistant for the Kansas City Repertory Theatre and an administrative intern for The Heart of America Shakespeare Festival.  Mathias has stage managed multiple productions and worked as an assistant stage manger as well.  He is a Master of Fine Arts candidate at UMKC and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Anthropology from Kansas State University.    

Stacey Salotto is a 2nd year stage management graduate student from Norton, MA. She graduated magna cum laude from Franklin Pierce College with a BA in Theatre Arts.  Her credits from UMKC include Man of La Mancha (PSM), Gianni Schicchi & Suor Angelica (ASM) and La Boheme (ASM) and her credits from FPC include Pippin (PSM), Light up the Sky (PSM), Bat Boy (PSM), The Death of Don Juan (ASM), and Dark Cathedrals of the Heart (ASM). Stacey has worked as Assistant Stage Manager on A Masked Ball, Regina, and The Elixir of Love at Des Moines Metro Opera, Production Assistant on The World Premiere Opera John Brown at KC Lyric Opera, Production Assistant on Gee’s Bend at the KC Rep, and Production Assistant on West Side Story, Black Comedy, and Uncle Vanya at Barrington Stage Company.
