PROSPECTIVE MFA ACTING STUDENTS:
Request three letters of recommendation each with recommendation form. Submit a photo with resume and a statement of purpose including a two page essay: page 1) the most memorable moment you’ve had in the theatre and page (2 a defining moment you’ve had in life (unrelated to theatre).

Prepare an audition of three pieces:
two contrasting, 1 ˝ to 2 minute monologues; one from a contemporary play; the second, 20-30 lines of Shakespearean (dramatic literature) verse, as well as;
third, 16 bars of a song from a Broadway musical performed a cappella or with recorded accompaniment (you provide CD/tape and player).
We will be represented at the U/RTA auditions for graduate programs in actor training in New York, Chicago and Las Vegas. For more information on U/RTA, go to: www.urta.com.

Dr. Felicia Londré LondreF@umkc.edu 1-816-235-2781For priority consideration for Fall 2007 admission to the Master of Arts in Theatre program, UMKC application and transcripts must be received by the UMKC Admissions Office and supplemental application materials must be received by Dr. Londré NO LATER THAN MARCH 1, 2007. Late applications (and applications for Winter 2007 admission) will be considered only if the program has not exceeded its enrollment limitation. In the event that there are openings for Winter 2007, application materials must be received no later than November 1.
Students entering the M.A. program may be asked to take a diagnostic examination in order to determine academic deficiencies and enable faculty to consult more effectively on planning the student’s program. Any deficiencies in undergraduate work must be made up in the first semester of graduate work if possible, but no later than the first year.In order to continue enrollment in the Master of Arts in Theatre program, a student must maintain a Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher.
