For priority consideration for Fall 2010 admission to the
Master of Arts in Theatre program, UMKC application and transcripts must be
received by the UMKC Admissions Office and supplemental application
materials must be received by Dr. Londré NO LATER THAN MARCH 1, 2010. Late
applications (and applications for Spring 2011 admission) will be considered
only if the program has not exceeded its enrollment limitation. In the event
that there are openings for Spring 2011, application materials must be
received no later than November 1.
Students entering the M.A. program may be asked to take a diagnostic
examination in order to determine academic deficiencies and enable faculty
to consult more effectively on planning the student’s program. Any
deficiencies in undergraduate work must be made up in the first semester of
graduate work if possible, but no later than the first year. In order to
continue enrollment in the Master of Arts in Theatre program, a student must
maintain a Grade Point Average of 3.0 or higher.
Please note: MFA Acting students will be recruited in early 2011 for
admission Fall 2011.

Prepare an audition of three pieces:
Two contrasting, 1
1/2
to 2 minute monologues; one from a contemporary play;
the second, a dramatic verse monologue of the same length,
as well as; third, 16 bars of a song from a Broadway musical performed a
cappella or with recorded accompaniment (you provide CD/tape and player).

U/RTA auditions – New York, Chicago, and San Francisco 2011
We will be represented at the 2011 U/RTA auditions for graduate
programs in actor training in New York, Chicago and San Francisco.

Kansas City auditions 2011
9:00-10:00 am warm-up; followed by individual audition appointments (10
minute slots). Faculty panel of recruiters.
Contact second year actor/student ambassador to arrange attending classes
in the days prior to/after the audition or for possible assistance with
lodging.
Wear warm-up clothes. Bring audition clothes.
