Truman Center Interns for Summer 2105 Named
Ida Ayalew and Ramsey Fowler are the Summer 2015 UMKC Truman Center Washington Interns.
Chosen in a competitive process among UMKC undergraduate applicants, they will join interns from the other University of Missouri campuses living together in condos near the Capitol and working in offices of Missouri representatives and senators. Ida, who is majoring in Philosophy with a minor in Black Studies, will be working for Congressman Cleaver (Missouri 5th District). Ramsey, a Political Science major in the 90 hour Pre-Law Program, will be working for Congressman Luetkemeyer (Missouri 3rd District) They are pictured here ( L to R) with Vice-Chancellor for Enrollment and Student Services Mel Tyler, Chancellor Leo Morton, and the Director of the UMKC Truman Center Dale Neuman.

The Truman Center anticipates being a link and a resource for all of its
initiatives as well as a place where persons can connect in real time or
electronically to explore the broad field of its charge: governmental
Lectures, symposia and seminars will look at issues related to our mission. Programs will focus on our initiatives. The website will provide information and links about all topics of interest to the Truman Center and, in addition, provide access to research sources for faculty, students and community members (young as well as others) who wish to enhance their knowledge of American public life, past, present and in prospect.
