Diplomat-in-Residence to visit UMKC

Robert AndrewRobert Andrew, the Diplomat-in-Residence from the U.S. Department of State will be visiting UMKC on Tuesday, October 27. Mr. Andrew will also be offering morning and afternoon information sessions. Times and locations are TBD. More information will be provided soon.

The State Department assigns career diplomats to universities around the country. We are routinely visited by these individuals, who are interested in talking to students in a variety of formats: individually, in class sessions, forums such as an Honors colloquium, etc. They speak substantively on international issues as well as career options in the Foreign Service.

About the Center

The Truman Center anticipates being a link and a resource for all of its initiatives as well as a place where persons can connect in real time or electronically to explore the broad field of its charge: governmental affairs.

Lectures, symposia and seminars will look at issues related to our mission. Programs will focus on our initiatives. The website will provide information and links about all topics of interest to the Truman Center and, in addition, provide access to research sources for faculty, students and community members (young as well as others) who wish to enhance their knowledge of American public life, past, present and in prospect.

Watch videos of our lectures here.

Students and Teachers: Do you know of a useful Truman link? Or a useful link about other Presidents? Do you believe it would benefit others to have this link available? If so, send your suggestions for our website. If we find them helpful and not duplicative of links already there, we will post them and let you know. Thanks!
