The urban studies program, housed with the College of Arts & Sciences, leads to a bachelor of arts degree. Participating faculty from seven departments in the College and from the Bloch School's Cookingham Institute of Public Affairs oversee the program. An urban studies major involves a core set of courses, a concentration area and a community internship. The core courses introduce analytical skills vital to a dynamic understanding of the city and urban life. Each concentration area consists of courses related to a career path.
