The Writing Center
Art Gallery
At the
Writing Center, we offer space in our lounge for artists to display
their work. This space is open for all kinds of art, including
paintings, drawings, sculpture, mixed media, etc.
In addition
to displaying artwork in the lounge, the Writing Center can also set up
gallery showings for those individuals who would like to formally
present their work in our space. Past gallery showings have included
speeches by the artists, performances by UMKC musicians, food and
beverages, as well as plenty of attendees.

During the
Spring '08 semester, artist Shiling's gallery opening proved successful
as it was attended by Shiling's friends and family and other UMKC
students, faculty, and staff.
