The Writing Center provides a variety of
services to assist your student writers:
One-to-One Consultations
As a writer yourself, you
already know about the benefits of peer review and naturally include
peer review in your writing process. The Writing Center can help your
students develop the same habits. One way to encourage your students to
take advantage of our services is to include a blurb about the Writing
Center in your syllabus.

Mini-Workshops
Mini-workshops provide targeted instruction on different aspects of
academic writing. All workshops are led by Writing Center staff members
who will visit your class to perform the workshop. Workshops can be
short and general (10-15 minutes), or they can be structured to be
in-depth and interactive (45-60 minutes). You can request any of the
workshops listed below by submitting an
email or calling the
Writing Center at 816-235-1146.
