Designed for students with an Associates of Applied Science, this interdisciplinary program empowers students to apply prior training toward their future career goals. Emphasize in one of five areas: Health Services Management, Business and Organizational Leadership, Data Analytics, Digital Media, and Digital and Public Humanities. Courses in the B.A.S. give students the skills that are sought by employers in many fields, including for communication specialists, operations managers, and production supervisors.
The B.A. program in Communication (previously known as Communication Studies) has new emphasis areas in Digital Journalism and Media, Professional Communication, and a new emphasis in Strategic Communication. This program opens students to an array of career options, in areas such as advocacy, fundraising, content management, and marketing strategy.
For students interested in careers in media communication, visual design or digital media, the degree in Media, Art and Design (MAD) provides a focus on design thinking, creative development and hands-on skills. Students in the MAD degree program will have the ability to craft their own degree path and learn essential skills in hands-on courses that use emerging technologies to teach creative development, communication and analysis.
