Bachelor of Art in Art History

Our B.A. degree in art history prepares you for entry into a graduate program or the job market.

Our dedicated faculty actively publishes. Classes make use of the extensive collections at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art located three blocks away, as well as the major contemporary collections in Kansas City, including those of the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, the Belger Arts Center and the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art.

There are no special requirements beyond those for admission to the university to become an art history major.

Our B.A. degree in studio art prepares you for entry into a professional school, a graduate program or the job market.

Our studio art faculty includes accomplished and actively exhibiting artists, and our teaching laboratories and studios are equipped with advanced technology as well as traditional tools.

For incoming freshmen, there are no special requirements beyond those for admission to the university.
