Why did you choose Pre-Law?
In high school I was really interested in government and politics and the opportunity to be in UMKC’s Six-Year Law Scholars Program really solidified my college decision. I like economic policy and I think I’d like to focus on corporate law to use both of my degrees together.
How have you grown at UMKC?
UMKC has helped sharpen my work ethic. I came to college as an unfinished product, and I am not yet the person I want to become. My experiences here have helped mold my views on many key issues, which is helping me decide who I want to be and what I want to do with my life. College is all about personal development, and I know I made the right decision to come to UMKC.
What do you love about UMKC?
I really wanted a fresh start after high school. I didn’t want to know anyone as I began my adult and professional life and really appreciated the diversity at UMKC. It is easy to be yourself here. We have a very accepting campus, something not all places can say. I have made friends from all over the country and world, allowing me to experience many different cultures and lifestyles.
