Amir Barati entered the I.Ph.D. program at UMKC in 2016. He focuses his research on 20th- and 21st-century British and American fiction, Persian (his mother tongue) literature, psychoanalysis, and critical theory. Amir has been working as a teaching assistant, freelance journalist, and social activist for more than a decade in Iran.
