Michael HenryAdjunct Instructor
As an online course instructor for over 25 years, Prof. Henry is passionate about designing and teaching online classes, using multimedia and experiential learning. With a B.A. in Communications from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Masters in Education from KU in Curriculum and Instruction, Prof. Henry continues to explore Computer Mediated Communication, Organizational Communications and Public Relations in online environments. In addition to his teaching, Michael is an eLearning producer with Point-Productions, a corporate online learning group. Prior to teaching at UMKC, Prof. Henry was Associate Director for Instructional Development at KU. Research interests focus on the role of media selection and social presence in mediated instruction.
As a lecturer at the University of Missouri, Kansas City, Prof. Henry is teaching several instructor-led, synchronous online classes, including ComSt 260 “Web Communications” and ComSt 378 “Computer Mediated Communication.”
