Mary Jean Miller joined UMKC in 2016 to further pursue her academic career. Her research focuses on medicine and its interpretation within literature in England from the Middle Ages through the Renaissance and the ways print culture, illustrations, and audience reception influenced the literary transition between the eras. In her spare time, she enjoys playing Scottish/Irish fiddle tunes on her violin and writing creative fiction.

Mary Jean Miller has several publications, including work in Sigma Tau Delta’s international journal, The Rectangle.
