Professor Mundy teaches composition and public speaking for the Discourse Program, with a focus on visual, written, and spoken rhetoric crossing many mediums. A UMKC alumna, her graduate study focused on James Joyce and the Modern Literature canon. She has extensive experience in writing center philosophy, and spent three years as an academic support specialist at Kansas City Art Institute. Outside of teaching, Professor Mundy is a spoken word artist and storyteller, performing in venues around Kansas City. She is also a self-proclaimed cat lady, and has a high interest in music collecting, independent film, and antique malls.

During spring of 2017, Professional Mundy successfully produced her own series of spoken word performances under the title Hymen In Hysterics, curated by The Outburst Performance Gallery in the Crossroads KC.
