Dr. Sookhee Oh joined UMKC in 2007 after working as a postdoctoral research associate in Spatial Structures in the Social Sciences (S4) at Brown University. Her research areas include urban sociology, immigration, and Asian American studies. A number of her articles on immigrant political incorporation and socioeconomic attainments among major racial/ethnic groups have been published in major sociology journals. The current focus of her research is the political incorporation of immigrant place-based entrepreneurs in the urban (re)development processes in Los Angeles.
