Jim Sheppard, PhD (Binghamton University, 2002)
Jim Sheppard is an associate professor of philosophy at the University of Missouri–Kansas City who specializes in environmental philosophy, urban theory, ethics and public policy, and American philosophy. Jim has published on various subjects including the ethics of urban sustainability efforts, the philosophy of Holmes Rolston III, the philosophies of John Dewey and William James, environmental education, and the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. Along with regularly teaching introduction to philosophy, environmental ethics and policy, and ethics for the department of philosophy, Jim also teaches American philosophy and a course focused on recent developments in ethical theory.
