Adrian Switzer, Ph.D. (Loyola Chicago, 2006), Associate Teaching Professor. The recipient of research and teaching fellowships at the Institute of Liberal Arts (ILA) at Emory University (2007-08) and in the Department of Philosophy at Colby College (2018-19), Dr. Switzer specializes in his research and teaching on Modern & Contemporary Philosophy, Aesthetics, and Social & Political Philosophy. The author of numerous journal articles and book chapters on such figures as Kant, Nietzsche, Benjamin, Merleau-Ponty, Deleuze, Foucault, Derrida, Irigaray, Nancy, etc., Dr. Switzer is the co-translator of Parmenides, Cosmos and Being (Marquette University Press, 2008) and author of The Events of May 1968: The Art and Philosophy of Revolution (Rowman & Littlefield, forthcoming).
