Biography

Born in San Sebastian, a beautiful city in Northern Spain, Dr. Villamandos earned a B.A. in Spanish Philology at the Universidad de Navarra (Pamplona) and an M.A. and Ph.D at the University of Ottawa (Canada). His research focuses on intellectual elites during the end of the Franco regime and the Transition to democracy. Dr. Villamandos has worked on graphic fiction, gender studies, and immigration studies.
