Before coming to UMKC in 2010, Dr. Fleeger served as Professor of Biological Sciences at Louisiana State University where he is currently Emeritus Professor. Professor Fleeger contributes to the Environmental Sciences Program at UMKC.  His research has focused on environmental effects on invertebrates, most recently exploring the resiliency of wetland communities following the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

Courses: Ecosystem science and environmental toxicology.

Academic Credentials: Ph.D. in Biology from the University of South Carolina.
